The Game’s Afoot, by Ken Ludwig
January 31 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
A fast-paced mystery comedy, The Game’s Afoot unfolds in December 1936, when famed actor William Gillette — celebrated for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes — invites his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend gathering.
When the holiday festivities are interrupted by a sudden murder, the isolated estate becomes a place of secrets, suspicion, and misdirection. Drawing on his stage persona, Gillette takes on the role of detective as he works to uncover the truth before another guest is harmed.
Set during the Christmas season, the play blends classic whodunit elements with theatrical flair, moving briskly between suspense and humour as the mystery unfolds.
“The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.”
